The presentation provides details on King County’s assessment of phytoplankton community and abundance in the Central Basin of Puget Sound using a new instrument, FlowCam. King County has been monitoring marine phytoplankton since 2008, but switched to a more quantitative method in 2014 that provides more information than the previous semi-quantitative method.
