This report is the final deliverable for Ryan Luvera’s 2023 internship project with King County’s Science Section. In this study Ryan explored one potential factor to explain coho survival in the Central Basin of Puget Sound: whether there is a relationship between catch per unit effort (CPUE) of recreational fisheries and juvenile coho prey biomass. His hypothesis was that there is a positive relationship between juvenile coho prey biomass and the CPUE of recreational fisheries during the coho run and over the entire year two years later.
